OUR HOST

Tim Daly is an award winning actor and adovcate with a long history of using his voice to promote social causes, especially environmentalism, arts advocacy and funding for public arts education.

An actor for more than 40 years, he became a household name for his roles in "Wings", "Private Practice", "The Sopranos", and as the voice of Superman for the animated series. He won national recognition for his role as Billy in Barry Levinson’s iconic 1982 film “Diner”, which is credited with inventing the pop culture infused hangout movie and for paving the way for “Seinfeld” and other modern comedies. He recently starred in “Madam Secretary” with his wife Téa Leoni on CBS, the YouTube web series "The Daly Show” and can be seen in the Netflix series, “Leanne”.

As president of The Creative Coalition, the entertainment industry’s premiere nonpartisan advocacy organization, he was instrumental in the group's efforts to bring arts education and environmentalism to the forefront of presidential campaigns during the 2008, 2016, 2020, and 2024 Democratic and Republican conventions.

Daly’s passion for advocacy and storytelling makes him an inspired lead for Sacred Ground as it explores the most urgent environmental challenges of our time. Together, we hope to spark dialogue, inspire action, and spotlight solutions for a changing planet.
